XJS Repairing the rust

I was lucky when I bought this car it was relatively free of rust. I knew it has some. So this is about as rust free a car as you could buy at under $10K I think I paid $8K.

Radius arms were a cow to remove I ended up cutting through them with the angle grinder and then they popped off.

This the under side of the radius arm mounting cup a little rust but not too bad. I removed it because I the bolt broke and I also wanted to check on the amount of rust .

The chassis was pretty good. All I did was clean it up. I did strengthen this with some 2mm plate.

All fixed. Am planning on a complete respray so a quick coat of etch primer so no rust forms

More rust in the usual place under the front guard. This happens because the front scuttle is open where the wipers are and this part curves down and Jaguar did not see fit put a drain here. So I have fixed this and drilled a hole so the water can drain out via the top rail.

Ugly

This is what happened when I was rolling the rear left lip. There were no tel-tail signs of rust here until I took to it with the hammer and dolly..

I forgot to take photos of the welding as I got a little carried away. The inner and outer guards were cut out until clean metal was left. New metal was welded in and then lead loaded and smoothed.

Not too much rust here but a load of filler (Bondo) in here so I cut it out and re built the whole front end.

Rusted front  bumper mount this was the worst one. I did not want these to rust so I made new ones from aluminum and stainless steel.

New bumper mount these will never rust.
