Jaguar 6.7L V12 Build

A couple of years ago a 6.0L V12 came up on eBay for about $3000 and I bought it with the idea of upgrading my original engine with the 6.0L crank and pistons.

It's a couple of years down the road and I have decided to add a big bore kit to the 6.0L engine taking it to 6.7L. I plan on documenting the process and hopefully inspire others to modify their engines.

Standard rod on the right (930g) and lightened Jaguar V12 rod on the left (830g). If you look carefully you will notice the rod on the right has a smaller pin hole. This rod has had the pin bush replaced to accept a Chev 0.927" pin. The engine will run KB Chev 305 std pistons in 95mm liners.

Finished Rod not as light as the one above at 840g but still considerably lighter than stock. I end weighted them to ±1.0 grams, this was as good as I could get the repeatability. Although the total rod weight across all 12 rods is ±0.1 gram. Total weight loss just over 1kg and this is rotating mass.

12 new flow matched injectors, these are Ford Denso 12 hole from a Jaguar X Type. I decided on these as the droplet size is significantly smaller than 4 hole and the price was about the same as 12 Commodore V6 injectors. These should give very fine atomization.
